Listing terms for businesses

These terms apply to kennels, catteries, pet sitters and other businesses listed on this site. The site is published by Pet Humanization Empire (Kwan J Ajak), Melbourne, Victoria, ABN 20 235 092 068, info@pethumanizationempire.com ("we").

1. Free Basic listings

• Any relevant business can be listed free. We may also list businesses that have not asked to be listed, using information they publish.
• We show only information you publish (for example on your website) or confirm to us in writing, with a link to the source and the date we checked it.
• You can ask us to correct or update your listing at any time, free. We check changes against your website before publishing them.
• We may decline or remove a listing that is not relevant, can't be verified, or would mislead pet owners.

2. Featured plans

• No GST is charged. Pet Humanization Empire is not registered for GST. If that changes, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice before any price change applies to you.
• Annual plans cost 10 times the monthly price (2 months free).
• Founding partner price lock. The first 10 businesses to start a paid plan keep that plan's price for 12 months from their start date, even if our published prices go up.
• Price comparison tables are never reordered for payment. Featured placement applies to region pages, city overview pages and (for plans that include it) the city Christmas tracker.
• Maximum two featured businesses per region. Where two businesses are featured, they are shown in the order they started their plans.
• Featured placements are always labelled "Featured".
• Payment does not buy different facts. We never change a business's published prices, rules, availability status (or reviews, if we ever host them) because of payment. Featured and non-featured listings follow the same sourcing rules.
• You must own or have permission to use any photo you send us. We may decline photos or links that are misleading or unsuitable.

3. Sign-up, payment and start date

• Sign up and pay in one step. Choose your plan on our plans page or sign-up page and use its "Sign up and pay" button. You sign up on our secure Shopify checkout on our publisher's shop, pethumanizationempire.com, and enter your details there. You don't need to fill in anything on this site first. Free Basic needs no payment: email us your business name, region and published prices.
• Payment is processed by Shopify on our publisher's shop, pethumanizationempire.com. Card details are entered only in the Shopify checkout; they are never handled by this site.
• Monthly plans are billed monthly in advance and annual plans yearly in advance. Both renew until cancelled; to change or cancel, email info@pethumanizationempire.com. The Season Pass is a one-off payment with no renewal.
• After payment we email you for your listing details (business name, region, services, prices, photo and booking link) and confirm your spot.
• Featured placement goes live once we've confirmed your details. We check them against your website and aim to publish within 2 business days of receiving them.
• If your region already has two featured businesses, we'll email you and offer a waiting-list spot or a refund as set out in section 5.

4. Cancellation

• Monthly plans: cancel any time by emailing info@pethumanizationempire.com. Your placement continues until the end of the month you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• Annual plans: you can cancel at any time. Your placement stays until the end of the paid year unless you ask us to remove it sooner. Refunds are as set out below.
• Season Pass: a single payment covering the season; it ends on 31 January 2027.

5. Refunds

• Change of mind: full refund if you cancel within 14 days of payment (for monthly plans, of your first payment).
• If we can't deliver: if we can't provide the placement you paid for, we refund the undelivered period pro-rata. This covers, for example, no featured spot being available in your region, the site being unavailable for more than 7 days in a row, or us removing the page or the featured feature.
• If we remove a listing because it breaches these terms (for example, misleading information or images you don't have rights to), we refund the unused period pro-rata, less any period already delivered.
• Refunds are paid to the original payment method within 10 business days.
• Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

6. Other

• We don't guarantee any number of visitors, enquiries or bookings.
• We may update these terms. We'll email active featured customers at least 30 days before a change affects them; you can cancel for a pro-rata refund if you don't accept a change.
• These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
